Typically, this problem is related to the insertion of a CD or CD-RW disk that has been formatted to be used as drag and drop through Direct CD.

To get the drive to release your disk, launch the Roxio Project selector by clicking on the Start button - Programs - Tools - Roxio EZ Creator 5 - Project Selector. The Project Selector will launch. Select on the DATA CD option and click on Direct CD. After the click, the program will close and nothing will appear to have happened. If you push the eject button on drive, the disk will eject.
