Burning CDs using Roxio

Select the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 application from Start - Programs - Tools - Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 - Easy CD Creator

The window will appear with the Roxio application. On the top there is folder explorer option where you can search for the files that you want to burn to CD. If you already have your file, for example on your I:\ drive.

Step 1: Using the file explorer located at the top of the application window, navigate to where the file(s) that you want on the CD is located. High light the files and / or folders that you want and click on the ADD button. Once all of the files have been added or when the CD is full the proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Press the red Record bottom on the application. This will lead you to Record CD Setup window.

Step 3: Select your desire settings for the recording process such as: Number of Copies, Write Speed (depends on the type of CD provided, speed varies by manufacturer) and Finalize CD. If you wish to leave the CD open to add more files later, check the "Finalize Session, Don't Finalize CD" option. This will burn the CD but allows you to add more files through the Roxio application on a later session without risk of losing the information.

Step 4: When done setting up the recording options, press the Start Recording button on the top right corner of the window. A new window will appear stating the process of the recording by percentage and by time. When the recording is done, a window will appear stating Burning Process 100%, press the OK button; the CD tray on your computer should open up with the finish CD.
