Introduction to personal storage (I:\ Drive)
Each student enrolled in the School of Architecture and Planning is provided a central storage area to save personal data. When logged into the computers located in the School of Architecture and Planning, this area on the server appears as the I:\ drive in My Computer.
- Storage limits (quotas) are as follows:
- Faculty and staff: 10 GB
- Graduate Students: 2 GB
- Senior and Juniors: 1.0 GB
- Sophomore and Freshman: 500 MB
- Visitors: 500 MB
- The I:\ drives are protected from loss that might occur from viruses, data corruption, and accidental deletion.
When this limit is approached, a warning is issued; if the drive reaches capacity then all data on the drive is rendered READ-ONLY.
This section is intended to aide in the connection to the servers at the School of Architecture and Planning from ANY computer in ANY location.
