1. Open an archive. Click File - Open - Outlook Data File...

2. Browse to the I:\outlook folder and select the archived email file that you want to open.

Select the email archive file that you want to open. In the example to the left, Archive06.pst is selected.

Click the OK button.

3. When you open the file, the dialogue box will disappear and nothing will seem to happen.

The Archive folder opened and appears at the BOTTOM of the mail folders view in Outlook.

You may have to scroll down the mail folder view in order to get to the bottom of the folder list but the archive is listed there.

Click on the "+" sign next to the archive folder in order to expand the folder and see its contents.

4. Once the Archive Folders is no longer needed, it can be closed by right clicking on the Archive Folders icon under the folders view and selecting Close "Archive Folders".

By closing an archive, no email or folders included in the archive are lost.
