Adding Printers

Member of the domain
To connect to a printer if you are in the domain, the steps are relatively
simple. This applies to any network printer that you wish to print to.
To add a printer, please follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Click on the START button and select RUN
Step 2: In the RUN command window that appears,
type in the following:
\\arpl-5
And press the OK button. A Connect As... dialogue
box may appear. If it does, please follow the directions provided
above.

Step 3: A list of printers available will appear.
Double click on the printer that you want to connect to for printing.
A connection window will appear with a flashlight as the system downloads
the necessary drivers to the local computer. When completed, the a
printer queue window will appear.
You are now ready to print to the selected printer. |
Other computer Due to security reasons, it is not possible to print from personal systems to the network printers at the School of Architecture and Planning. |
